so happy to be done with school! well TAFE that is. now that i no longer have a curriculum to adhere to Im excited to have more time to dedicate to commissions as well as my own personal projects, not that i get heaps of commissions in the first place but Im hoping to change that by being a more proactive and social member of this site. Of course the main priority is really to build and improve on what i already know as an artist so Im going to have to really challenge myself and hopefully if your reading this and are interested in commissioning me you have a challenging idea i could help you to conceptualise. But if your only reading this because you watch me and you were curious than Im equally grateful and i ask that you remain curious of me as I hope to satisfy that curiosity whilst leaving you wanting more with my next piece, whatever that ends up being

gotta get on DA more and use this damn journal feature, but oh well..... Ive been getting a bit of attention for the pokemon fanart i recently put out and i feel like it has lead to people finding some of the work that would otherwise have gone unrecognised. so to those who now watch me and comment on my work because they saw something in my fanart other than their obsession with pokemon im extremely thankful. To those who have found an appreciation for my work through the fanart ive posted i owe some gratitude and to express that ive decided to cook up something extra special, so to anyone who reads this and has been following the recent developments of the pokemon universe i say get exited! this special little something will be posted in my gallery when my recent work Electaphan receives its 250th favourite. peace out yall  

trying really hard to both improve my skills and to increase my output of work, really inspired by so many people on this site who make me really wanna push myself and set higher goals. this creative energy is as much a blessing for me as it is a curse though, with this newfound ambition comes a level of expectation that can sometimes lead to frustration if your goals arnt met or if you simply cant reach them fast enough.... but with that said i am happy with what ive been able to learn from both myself and other artists in the process and i especially want to mention sula moon who went out of her way to give me and a few other artist  some critiques and advice on how to improve witch is something i greatly appreciate. really looking forward to putting a lot more work out there for people to see and im hoping to receive some feedback for it good or bad, preferably good but whatever leads me to improving my skills is fine by me

                      my name is morgan howell, i am a 20 year old art student from australia. being a somewhat active deviant i thought i should make use of this journal feature and let anyone who may be curious know i few things about me...

i have recently completed my first year of a visual arts course where i was able to learn a great deal about art and i now hope to be able to not only apply this to my future deviations but to also continue to learn and grow as an artist through doing so. during my break from school i am hoping to be able to become a lot more active on DA so i can get more exposure as an artist as well as being able to increase my output and quality of work.

and with this increase of traffic i am hoping to be able to begin commissioned work, the artists dream. i an truly passionate about applying myself creatively and being paid any amount of money to do that would be ideal!
